TheReflector recounts excitement as Oct 5 brought student portraits for all but seniors, with seniors reshooting. Mr Foster to retake missing images and craft group photos for the annual. Seniors thank Mrs O A Huseman for donated eggs used in a bake sale cake.
The senior class and sponsor thank Miss Gladys Ray for the use of her building on Saturday Oct. 9. They plan a bake and rummage sale there again on Saturday Oct. 16. The message is signed by M. W.
Garland Dean Smith, son of J. L. A., spoke with WHS students and faculty during a Monday visit. He had left July 5 for San Diego to serve in the Navy and returned home October 2 on leave, then left again October 11 to report back to base for Thursday October 18, with 16 weeks of radio training in California. Faculty and staff thanked the PTA for a book presentation on Monday morning featuring The Gentle Warrior, King's Rhapsody, The Stubborn Heart, Rest And Be Thankful, and Traitor's Moon by listed authors.
