Denison Oct 9 The home of Dan Dane one half mile west of Denison was destroyed by fire at nine o'clock this morning entailing a loss to the residence and contents of about 8000. The family occupied the living room while a test of a fireplace was under way. Neighbors cries attracted them to the scene. It is believed birds nests in the flue caught fire throwing sparks on the roof. Denison firemen used chemicals to check the flames and saved a lot of furniture. Insurance was 4500.
