In Sioux Falls on November 20 McAdoo supporters won the county delegation to the state convention over Ford backers. Robert Maloney was elected unanimously. Holton Davenport and John Bowler received 1,716 and 1,670 votes respectively. Delegation pledged to McAdoo and Cherry.

Mrs Eula E Hall widow of Jim Hall a well known Grayson County farmer near Ida was awarded 25000 damages for herself and children in Fifteenth District Court after noon Saturday The verdict was against the St Louis Southwestern Ry whose motor car struck Hall’s automobile at a crossing near Tom Bean last summer The defense filed motion for a new trial.

Fire Destroys Garage and Car in Friday Night Blaze
J. W. Davidson reports his garage and automobile burned last Friday around 9 o clock. Firefighters saved nearby buildings but the garage was a total loss. Davidson had 50 dollars of garage insurance and no auto coverage. he believes an electrical short in the car's wiring caused the blaze. Loss estimated about 400 dollars beyond insurance.

Missionary from Africa to Lecture Tonight at Presbyterian
Rev. J. M. Patterson, who spent years in Africa, will present a stereopticon lecture at the Presbyterian Church tonight at 7 o'clock. The Whitewright corn market draws farmers from afar and sells 60 to 75 loads daily. The Gillett Grain Company buys most of the corn and has built two warehouses this season. A 52 by 70 foot new building was completed Wednesday and is already two thirds full with corn.
