Baby Dies After Eating Pills Near Bells
Johnnie Paul Baze two year old son of Mr and Mrs John Baze north of Bells died last Thursday in Sherman hospital after mistaking sugar coated pills for candy and eating a quantity of them. The mother took the child to a Bells physician then to Whitewright where he was in convulsions and died on the way to Sherman.

Boy Dragged to Death by Runaway Mule
McKINNEY Ray Hampton Whisenant age 11 died after a mule pulling loose rope dragged him 300 yards at Melissa home. He had led the animal to pasture and tied rope around his body. The frightened mule bolted and the lad died a few minutes after his father reached him. Funeral services were held Monday.
