Hoelzell also oversees projects in Denison Howe Collinsville and Trenton, having moved here from Van Zandt County and previously worked with the Dallas Parks Board.
The East Sherman Union of the Young People's Department of the Methodist Church met at Bells Tuesday night with Miss Dorthel Robinson in charge. Miss La verne Kilgroe was elected president after a program and business session. An entertainment feature and refreshments followed for 98 attendees, including Mrs. Sarah Kilgroe and Rev. and Mrs. Ben Bell from Whitewright.

German housewives welcomed a rationing liberalization. Starting Nov. 20 the weekly meat ration rises from 17.6 to 18.7 ounces and butter increases from four to five ounces weekly. For December every German may buy six eggs.
In Berlin horses cows and pigs must have food cards after November 1 unless owned by farmers. After that date owners unable to grow enough feed will receive only fixed amounts. The measure mostly affects teamsters and workers who keep one cow or fatten a pig.
Washington reports the agriculture department estimates 1939 cotton production at 11 845 000 bales, down from 11 943 000 bales in 1938. The Commodity Credit Corp introduces a new loan program to reduce surplus and raise grower prices, with a base rate of 8.3 cents per pound and higher rates near shipping centers.

Whitewright received the next district meeting.
