Faheys Place Closed By Court In Sherman
Sherman October 29 The residence and sidewalk restaurant at 321 East Mulberry in Sherman was closed Saturday after noon at 4 by Sheriff Boyd Craig and Deputy Sheriff Bart Shipp under a court order from the Fifteenth District Court Judge Silas Hare. The order follows a petition by Assistant County Attorney J Q Adamson alleging habitual liquor sales in violation of law. The closure lasts twelve months unless a $1000 bond is posted. Witness testimony and a whisky sale connected Fahey to the premises and to supplying liquor for sale at the Fahey restaurant on East Mulberry Street. Local officers regard the case as serious evidence of illegal liquor operations at the property.
