Forty four seniors will receive diplomas at Whitewright High School commencement in the gym at 8 p.m. Tuesday. J. Y. Wheeler of Denison will address the class as Lone Star Gas district supervisor. Anita Vestal is valedictorian and Kathleen Mitchell salutatorian. Baccalaureate is Sunday at the Methodist Church with Rev. G. B. Bradshaw preaching.

Cotton Crop Estimates Up For 1936 By Census Bureau
The Agriculture Department revised its 1936 cotton crop forecast to 12,399,000 bales of 500 pounds gross weight, versus 10,538,000 bales in 1935. Lint yield per acre was 197.9 pounds, up from 186.3. July 1 area in cultivation was 30,960,000 acres, down from 37,888,000 in 1934, and picked area was 30,028,000 acres, below 37,335,000 in 1935.

Oklahoma Ports of Entry Registration Required for Out-of-State Drivers
Oklahoma City report says drivers from other states must register at ports of entry under the new driver license law. Public Safety Commissioner J. J. M. New Driveways Planned for Oak Hill Cemetery
Mayor F M Echols said he was authorized by William Fleming and Kay Kimbell of Fort Worth to build a graveled driveway system in Oak Hill Cemetery. The project costing about 300 dollars will be funded by the donors and work is set for June possibly adding a second entrance as well as the driveways. The Oak Hill Cemetery Association approves the improvement.

Rockefeller Rites Brief and Simple Burial Is Today
Brief funeral services were held for John D. Rockefeller at his Pocantico Hills estate in Tarrytown New York. The 97 year old philanthropist died Sunday in Florida and will be buried beside his wife Laura Spelman Rockefeller in Cleveland. Employees from the estate filed past the casket and many around the world paused in tribute as the service concluded.

Twin Removed From Abdomen of 13 Month Old Girl
Portland surgeons removed a lifeless fetus from the abdomen of a 13 month old girl in a rare operation. The seven inch embryo, with hair and nails but little skull and no face, was found in a sac and likely preserved the child’s recovery. Dr. C W Brunkow led the Dornbecher Hospital team with observers present. The case is one of only about fifteen known.
