Mika Lola Rathman six year old great granddaughter of Mrs Mary McGaughey Whitewright died in Abilene last Wednesday and was buried in Lampasas Friday. She was daughter of Mr and Mrs Mike Rathman of Abilene and granddaughter of Mr and Mrs John McGaughey of Albany. Survivors include a sister two brothers and paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Robert Rathman.
Hassie May Petty 77 widow of W M Petty died Sunday night. Funeral Tuesday at 3 p m in First Methodist Church Trenton with burial Burns Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters Mabel Adams Corpus Christi and Marcel Dockery Trenton two sons Reed Orick Peacock and Al Petty Denton four step sons Walter Bill Elvin Jack Petty and one step daughter Mamie Hogue Dallas. She was born May 17 1897 in Tennessee and married Jan 28 1910 in Bonham. She was a Methodist.

Voters in Fannin County vote Saturday May 4 on creating the Bois d Arc Water District No 2 to control runoff. Ballots at Orangeville Randolph Bailey Edhube and Bonham mark approval or rejection of the district after SCS endorsement.
The Agriculture Department reports farm prices received rose 2 percent from mid March to mid April while costs rose 1 percent. The parity ratio advanced to 81 percent, up from the prior 30 days but below a year ago. Cattle hogs apples tomatoes and cotton led price gains. milk strawberries snap beans and oranges fell. The April price received index hit 241 against 1910-14, highest since July, while the price paid index reached 296, up 4 percent from April 1956.
