Sherman homecoming marks 117 years for South Travis Church of Christ
Bryan Weber attended the 117 year old South Travis Church of Christ homecoming in Sherman on Sunday with more than a thousand attendees. The day gathered many local visitors including Fred Cook and Mrs. Cook in Denton, Granvolee Hansard and family in Irving, and Joan Gray in Randolph. Other weekend visitors included J. M. McMurry of Dallas, Barbara Watson of Denton, Otto Russell’s guests from Port Neches and Richardson families, and additional relatives visiting across Sherman and nearby towns. Easter holidays brought Percy Darwin to Abilene, while families from Waco, Brownwood, Dallas, Red Oak, Trenton, and Leonard joined in weekend visits to local residents.
