Ben Barnes to tour drug treatment facilities in state
Lt. Gov. Ben Barnes announced a two day tour of statewide facilities involved in treatment and rehabilitation for drug users. The visits include Texas Research Institute of Mental Sciences Houston University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston Huntsville Corrections Timberlawn Dallas Clinical Research Center Fort Worth and Teverell State Hospital. The tour aims to raise awareness of available treatment options and identify gaps to better help those in need. It also calls for protection of youths from drug use and stresses rehabilitation to restore health and useful citizenship.
