Third Friday Singing at Assembly of God in Whitewright
The Whitewright Rambles announce a Third Friday Singing at 7 30 PM at the Assembly of God Church inviting all residents. Greg Sanderson sustained a bad cut while shucking corn at Melton's Friday prompting calls for safety lessons. The Whitewright Chamber banquet is set for April 12 at Whitewright High School Gym with tickets at Melton's Petit First National Bank and Walker Pharmacy. Two former Whitewright residents Fannie Webster McKinney and Bessy Sears Caston stopped by, sharing stories of teaching in Sherman Cannaan and Grayson County College. The Whitewright City Council met with Lone Star Gas in special session to discuss the proposed rate increase and extended study time with other cities.
