Death of well known traveling salesman Hugh West
Hugh West a Hale-Hassell the Durant Oklahoma wholesale grocery salesman, died at St. Vincent sanitarium Sherman after a brief illness. He was born at Bells and moved to Sherman five years ago. Survived by wife, mother and eight children. Funeral at North Harrison Sherman conducted by Rev J L Truett. burial at West Hill Cemetery. Calvin Robbins returned from overseas service and home from Camp Travis Texas. His brother Marshal due home from France soon to undergo demobilization.

She urges an extra teacher and introduction of vocational work. the high school should offer 18 credits and is praised for its brick building facilities and modern equipment.
