The First Baptist Church of Whitewright called Rev. G C Ivins of Goldthwait to be pastor and he accepted. He will begin on the third Sunday in March the 19th. Ivins, married with his wife, has served five years at Goldthwait and expressed favorable impressions of Whitewright and its surroundings.

Funeral services for Mrs Jimmie Lee Hedgpeth Yates will be held at her residence this afternoon conducted by Rev W H Ackley Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery She died at 420 this morning after a pneumonia and heart trouble illness She was born June 17 1875 in Rockford Kentucky and lived in Whitewright since 1882 except for a brief stay in Denison She married W O Yates in 1895 and left a will giving her home rent cottage four lots to the First Baptist Church of Whitewright Her cousin Moron Badgett received her automobile and other property She had worked seven or eight years in insurance and knew many people in Whitewright.
