Forage sorghum hay ranged from 1.9 to 12 percent, averaging 5.2. Lower fertilizer rates lower quality, and longer forage growth tends to reduce quality.
Texas Baptist churches posted a record May giving of 1,188,216.49 to the Cooperative Program, via 4,000 churches. Funds support Texas and Southern Baptist work domestically and overseas, surpassing the monthly budget by 169,466.49 and topping May 1966 by 373,448.73.
