M Caraway Dies A Pioneer Desert Citizen
M Caraway 76 well known farmer south of Whitewright died Thursday morning after a two week hospital stay in McKinney. A Tennessee born pioneer linked to Desert since 1880s he served as elder of the Presbyterian Church for 35 years and was active in civic and church work. He leaves wife two sons Byron and Wallace, a daughter Mrs Mildred Caraway, a sister and other relatives. Burial at Cross Roads Cemetery following funeral at Desert Presbyterian Church.
