Death of Frank A. Batsell in Cleveland and Sherman funeral
Frank A. Batsell died June 3 in Cleveland after a long illness and was buried in Sherman after a funeral and burial there on Friday. He leaves a widow Hardee Batsell, three sons, his mother Annie A. Batsell, brother Charles Batsell a Sherman attorney, and sister Mrs May B Neathery wife of Dr E J Neathery. He was a Grayson County native who built a banking career in Sherman beginning in 1891 with Merchants Planters National Bank and rose to assistant cashier.

Passenger Train Discontinued on Sherman Commerce Line
The Cotton Belt ended one Sherman Commerce division passenger train with a westbound morning trip and eastbound afternoon return last Tuesday. Poor track conditions between Commerce and Sherman, worsened by the wet season, made service dangerous. The company plans immediate reballasting and leveling work and expects to relaunch motor car service afterward.

W S Russell died after an appendicitis operation at St Vincent's sanitarium in Sherman. Funeral held at Travis Street Methodist Church with Masonic rites at West Hill cemetery. Survived by widow Kate and children Neva Walker Juanita Russell Marguerite Russell Roscoe Russell. brothers and sisters. Russell served Grayson county as sheriff 1902 1906 and later ran Russell Realty.
