He was born June 12 1876 in Rowe County Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Russell April 25 1901 and was a retired farmer and Methodist Church member.

Survived by wife mother Bell Gardens Calif three brothers Garfield Andy Grady and two sisters Sherman Burchfield Cecil Drake all of Bell Gardens Calif. Two Bass congressmen joke noted in the text.
