Deaths Clyde K. Smith 53 dies after brain hemorrhages
Clyde K. Smith 53 died Friday in a Dallas hospital from brain hemorrhages after being struck on December 13. Funeral services were held at Barnhart Chapel with Rev. James Cooper and Rev. Fred Waldrop officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. He married Ruth Baker in Amarillo on October 18, 1929. Survived by wife, son Jack, two daughters, four brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren. Many out of town relatives attended. He had run a cleaning and pressing business in Whitewright for years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Barnheart Chapel for John Allen Pumphrey 79 who died Friday after a stroke. Rev. John Roberson and Rev. C C Dooley of Whitewright officiated. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, two step-sons, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
