Joe Johnson remains a patient at Community Hospital in Sherman. Several Sherman residents visited sick or recovering individuals including Mrs Bertha Gant Mrs Lillie Dillon Mrs Hattie Kirby and Mrs George Bennett. Visits extended to Dallas Fort Worth and California guests as local circles marked a birthday and church circle met.

Miss Brenda Jane Geers and Jerry Lynn Jones exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony on Thursday January 3 1963 at the home of Rev Bill Johnson in McKinney Texas officiated by the Rev Johnson. The couple plans to reside in Bryan while Jones continues at Texas A and M and Mrs Jones attends Bryan High School.
Miss Patricia Llewellyn of Albuquerque New Mexico and Pfc. James V. Dixon of Whitewright were married December 22 in Albuquerque. The bride is the daughter of Mrs Joe Llewellyn of Denison. Dixon is stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky with the Army military police detachment. Mrs Dixon will reside in Albuquerque until June.
The Woman's Society of Christian Service met January 7 at 2 30 p m in the First regular business session. Nine members attended with Mrs. Kenneth Frisby presiding. Plans included starting a church library and a fellowship supper. The next meeting is January 21 at Mrs Roby Childress home.
The Friday Literary Club met at Mrs. C. J. Meador’s home on Jan 4 with 18 members present. Officers named: president Mrs. Roy Blanton, 1st VP Mrs. Jack Meador, 2nd VP Mrs. J E Christian, Rec Sec Mrs. Kenneth Frisby, corr sec Mrs. Joe Crouch, treasurer Bertha Earnheart, critic S. T. Montgomery Jr., reporter Gladys Ray, historian J. C. McMillin. Orchids and lace fern graced the refreshment table.
Mr and Mrs W L Bunch of Whitewright announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Rose Ann Bunch to Joe Earl Morris son of Mr and Mrs Wade Morris of Leonard. The wedding is set for June 21. Rose Ann is a Whitewright High School senior and Joe Morris graduated Leonard High School in 1962.
