Insurance Rate On Municipal Property Reduced 25 Percent
Whitewright records show a 25 percent cut in fire insurance rates for municipally owned buildings and contents, excluding schools, following a successful petition by the League of Texas Municipalities to the State Board of Insurance Commissioners. The League notes the small fire loss ratio supports the reduction as municipal property remains a target for the Fire Fiend, hoping other burnable property will also see relief.
