Farm Forecloser Is Shot To Death
Luther D. Marr a 67 year old Kansas City real estate dealer was found fatally wounded near his bullet riddled car two miles south of Pleasanton Kansas. Marr had come to Mound City to attend a foreclosure sale on a 500 acre farm where he held the mortgage. The farm had earlier been sold to John N Holzapfel a former Kansas City druggist now working in Colony. Marr bought the farm back at the foreclosure sale to protect his balance due.
