Cotton Ginning To Finish Soon If Weather Holds
Local gins operate around the clock with four to five thousand bales remaining to be ginned and hope to finish shortly after year’s start if fair weather continues. Bad weather risks delaying harvest and may push ginning and harvesting into March. Most cotton is machine harvested with some pulling still done while grain and feed gathering finishes. Ray C.
