White Gifts Program Draws Good Attendance at Central Christian

A 93 year old farmer, nearly blind and deaf, wants $4,000 in War Bonds but is told interest on types E and F bonds would wait 10 years. He asks to get interest next Fall, and is directed to a bank to buy type G bonds with semiannual interest.
Patriotic Program Sells Many War Bonds at High School
A second patriotic program at the High School auditorium raised 1500 dollars in War Bonds and 85.10 in War Stamps. Directed by Mrs. Kathryn Roddy and Mrs. Sarah Kilgree, the event featured student plays, songs by younger grades, a Navy Ensign talk, and a Christmas pageant by the choral club with several named participants. The first program had 350 dollars in sales.
