Christmas services for December 24 at First Presbyterian Church announced by Rev. Wm. Rogan. Morning worship at 10 30 with no regular Sunday School. children to arrive by 10 for their part in The Christmas Family. Advent candles lit by Gordon Musselman family. Vesper at 5 featuring Tell Me The Story of Jesus and a theme song by Julie Johnson. Children’s chorus directed by Mrs. David Johnson and Mrs. David Reeves to sing in both services. Santa arrives after the vesper and Christmas Tree with Sunday School children. Public invited.

Leonard to Host Tournament This December event
Leonard hosts a five day holiday basketball tournament from December 26 to 30 as Perry Morris notes. Admission varies by session with adults 75 cents, students 50 cents. full tournament tickets cost 6 dollars for adults and 3 dollars for students. All day Saturday specials run 1.50 for adults and 1 for students, with tickets valid for all games.

Bells Church News Christmas Party At First United Methodist
First United Methodist Church primary and kindergarten Sunday school classes held a Christmas party hosted by teachers Betty Whiting and LaNell Thomas with 13 members receiving gifts after a Christmas game. Connie Lambert and John Mays won prizes. A tree, decorations, red and green treats, and parental attendance marked the event. The WSCS met at the home of Mrs. Jackie Painter for their annual Christmas party with readings, music, a story, pin gift, and a gift exchange.

Christmas Dinner and Program At Antioch Baptist Church
Antioch Baptist Church adult Sunday School classes held a Christmas dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison French with 35 attendees and a gift exchange. An original Christmas play by Tammy Harris was presented, gifts given to Rev. Gant and Mr. Gazaway, and children exchanged gifts. Fruit baskets were delivered to nursing home patients in Savoy, and church gifts, food and money were sent to the State Hospital in Wichita Falls and the Beeville Children's Home.

Tickets for the 77th Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show Rodeo went on sale at 9 a.m. in the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum ticket office. General manager W. R. Watt Jr. said hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The event runs Jan 26 to Feb 4 with rideos and shows priced from 3.50 for 8 p.m. shows to 3 for matinees and 0.50 grounds admission included with rodeo tickets.

FFA Initiation Held for Freshmen Members
FFA officers met Monday November 27 to plan the annual initiation. The private initiation occurred November 28 at break in the gym with only FFA members present. Each freshman must wear the green hand and have it signed by every member of FFA.
