Savage Denies GOP Cross-Filing in Texas Primary
Wallace Savage of Dallas the Dallas Democrats chair said cross filing is illegal and Democrats will act to stop it. Republican Ralph Currie countered that the 1951 election code allows a candidate to seek nomina tion from more than one party for the same office. The GOP first used cross filing in 1952 to nominate conservatives from Democratic primaries.
