Grayson county tax assessor J Brack Raines filed his annual report with County Auditor A S Noble. He shows receipts of 9299 from Feb 1 to Sep 1 1915 totaling 9339.00, with 5325 to deputies direct and 2740 to selery plus 1264 69 excess fees. He transferred 948 51 excess fees to county treasurer.

B C Pearce of Savoy exhibited a 972 pound Poland China hog at a Saturday street fair drawing a large crowd. He showed several other fine hogs and earned good pay for bringing the stock to advertise it, with several hundred witnesses in attendance.

A meeting is planned in Sherman at the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday the 21st at p.m. by Grayson county cattle raisers to discuss organizing a Grayson Cattle Association. Prof. L. J. Allen of the U S Bureau of Animal Industry will outline plans to eradicate the cattle tick, aiding beef and dairy production statewide.
