Denison, Dec. 12. Louise Carpenter a Sherman telegraph operator was found fatally shot in a car near Sherman. Charlie Steele of Denison, her fiancé suspect, but officials deem the charge a legal step to aid the investigation. Authorities search for motive. some believe accident or self defense. Steele says he heard a shot while helping fix a stalled car and that the pistol found was his.
