Last Monday a steam ditcher arrived on the Cotton Belt and began widening the road bed and ditching in preparation for ballasting. The engineering corps and grading gang are stationed there. Ballasting to Sherman with burnt gumbo to begin around the 10th to 15th of the month, with at least 250000 dollars expected to be spent.
