The Pearl Harbor attack on December 7 1941 began at 6 AM Honolulu time from six carriers, 18 ships sunk or damaged, 2 341 dead and 1 143 wounded, highlighting battleships California Maryland Oklahoma Tennessee West Virginia Arizona Nevada.

Diverse Christmas Events Highlight Savannah Oklahoma Church and Community
Eleven members of Hands of God attended a Savannah service. First Baptist WMA held a Week of Prayer for Foreign Missions luncheon. United Methodist Church plans a December Live Nativity with three nightly shows directed by Mrs. Burleson and staffed by Cureton and Simpson. Christmas dinners follow Dec 17 at United Methodist and Dec 10 at Marvin United Methodist. Blue Birds met with 18 girls, planning a Christmas parade and carols at a nursing home. Troup No 42 held Treasure Hunt and cookout with Scouts and leaders on Saturday. Kathy Johnson celebrated a second birthday at the Day Care Center.
