102 Year Old Woman Years Quilt For Baptist Orphanage
Mrs. M. A. Mangrum of Whitewright aged 102 pieced a quilt for a Baptist orphanage. The Baptist Woman's Missionary Union quilted it and sent it to the Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock. This is her second quilt since turning 100, after gifting one to Buckner Orphans Home in Dallas. She plans another in 1951.

Santa Claus Parade Planned for December 16 in Town
The local business meeting approved a Santa Claus parade for 3 p m on Saturday December 16.
