Whitewright High School Football Opens Training Camp
Training for Whitewright High School football begins September 1 with Lloyd Wright as head coach and Robert Holland assisting. Daily practices run 3 to 4:30 PM at the athletic park. Twenty six players signed up. captain Grafton Montgomery and manager Jack Spindle lead a larger squad aiming for four home and four away games. The team relies on gate receipts and season tickets for expenses and calls on local support.

Sherman Texas Aug 19 James Calhoun of 522 South Throckmorton street reported to police that he was robbed of 90 dollars from his trousers pocket by a pickpocket at the old settlers reunion Thursday evening. He said a man jostled him near the swing and politely begged his pardon before the money disappeared.
