Pierce Negro Dies by Gunman’s Hand in McKinney

Y C Pierce a 26 year old Black man formerly of Whitewright was shot four times at 1 23 pm Saturday in McKinney and died instantly. A McKinney man over 40 is in custody for murder inquiry as police investigate the case. Funeral held in Whitewright with burial in Sandy’s Cemetery Colbert Okla and survivors listed.

Deaths W C Musser 68 Sherman funeral services

Funeral services for W. C. Musser 68 were held in Sherman with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery after his death Monday in the Bonham veterans hospital following a long illness. He lived at 1416 East Wells Sherman and formerly resided here. Survived by wife Lucile Giles son David Musser four sisters and a brother. He was a WWI veteran and member of Key Memorial Methodist Church Odd Fellows.
