Funeral services were held at 2 30 p m Wednesday at the Central Christian Church for Mrs J R Murphy conducted by Dr G C Minor of Denison and Rev J A Henderson of Pilot Grove Interment followed at Wittitoe Cemetery west of town directed by Glen Earnheart She died Tuesday morning at her Whitewright home after a three month illness Edith Staton Murphy born November 28 1867 in Kentucky was married to John Murphy 51 years ago and moved to Texas 42 years ago settling near Whitewright Surviving are her husband seven children living southwest of Whitewright and others in Denton Stillwater Minn and Cotulla
