Marilyn Drinnon and Gene Monk were married Friday night at 7 30 in the home of her parents in Bells. Rev Richard Beall officiated. The bride wore yellow satin over white lace with a pearl band and carnations. Forty one relatives attended the Easter Sunday family reunion at Nellie Martin’s home with an Easter egg hunt for children. Out of town guests came from Bossier City Fort Hood Denison Whitewright and Bells.

Easter egg hunts fete Bells Elementary students
Grades one through four at Bells Elementary were feted with Easter egg hunts Friday afternoon supervised by teachers and room mothers. Prizes were awarded for most eggs and Kim Miller in third grade found a baby rabbit near City Park, sparking belief it belonged to the Easter bunny.

Religious groups share Easter service and visits in Whitewright
The Women's Society of Christian Service at First United Methodist concluded the Inner Life study with a cross shaped centerpiece and Easter baskets delivered to Whitewright and Savoy Nursing Homes. Calvary Baptist held family night with a covered dish meal and singing. The Sunbeam Auxiliary hosted an Easter egg hunt for 20 children at First Baptist Church. Youth in Action at the same church hosted a fellowship meal for an evangelistic team with 39 attendees including 23 youths. Revival At First Baptist Church Draws Attendees And Skits

Six Graders Enjoy Easter Skating Party at Bells Elementary
The sixth graders at Bells Elementary held a skating party Wednesday for Easter.
