Speech of John F Potter against Lecompton political plan
In a March 23 to 28 address Potter denounces the Democratic pro slavery stance and the Kansas Topeka government. He argues Congress long restricted slavery, defends free state resistance, and condemns President Buchanan’s Kansas policy as tyrannical.
