The Furst Bismarck of the Hamburg American line arrived in New York on May 16 on its maiden voyage from Southampton. The German built liner, sister to the Normannia, measures 500 feet in length with a 60 square foot deck area and a capacity of about 1,135 tons. it can carry 1,200 steerage passengers and nearly 2,000 persons with crew.
