Fragmented Night Text on Drama and Social Scenes in Wartime

A sprawling, noisy mix of dialogue, anecdotes, and reminiscences from a late 19th or early 20th century newspaper page. It blends tales of a Major Haight cabin scene, a local moral tale about a liar named Lije Goodyear, a lengthy wedding or betrothal vignette, and scattered poems, jokes, and anecdotes, interweaving personal memories, humorous misunderstands, and social observations across multiple voices and settings.
