The National People's Party met in Omaha for its national convention with speeches from George P. Owaba's delegation and Ignatius Donnelly. The Indianapolis News reports Judge Walter Q. Gresham would not accept any nomination from the Omaha People's party convention regardless of the platform. A dispatch dated July 2 1892 quotes Gresham saying he would not accept on any platform.
