Sheriff Harter of Starke and Sheriff McCormick of Laporte convened as canvassing board in Laporte on Wednesday. They tabulated joint senator and joint representative returns and signed certificates of election for D. L. Crumpacker and Co C Kelly. Crumpacker led by 64 votes and Kelly totaled 342 votes across both counties.

Citizens hope they remain in Westville.
