Mrs. Lou Fuller is killed in bed during a break in at the family farm north of Goshen. A robber escapes with 458 dollars, including 127 from a sheep sale and 551 in Fuller’s trousers. Fuller was wounded pursuing the intruder. a lynching mood is noted by pursuers.
Congressman Nicholas Longworth and Mrs. Longworth arrived with Congressman Landis from Cincinnati. A 500 strong Logansport delegation greeted them as they were escorted in state. Local women led by Mrs. Arthur Keesling formed the committee to welcome the party in support of Landis reelection.
Hammond aims to annex neighboring cities including Chicago Whiting and Indiana War matorial to become the state's second largest city and leading Indiana manufacturer. Promised Calumet region industries and growth could push population to 100,000 in four years. A banquet with fifty business leaders will launch the annexation efforts.

James Carey of Baltimore proposes dividing the American Friends foreign mission conference into three divisions Eastern middle and western. The middle division would include Indiana western Maryland North Carolina New England Canada New York Philadelphia Baltimore and North Carolina. The western division would combine Oregon and California.
The American Friends conference in Richmond adopted a definite plan to unify foreign mission work. It proposes absorbing the Friends African industrial mission board into a central body, with yearly meetings voting to adopt. Delegates from across the United States and Canada attended, along with returned missionaries from Africa, Cuba, and Mexico, boosting the missionary movement.
In the Cain trial a man named John Cain stole a cow and boots to mislead trackers after stealing an organ in Jefferson County and selling it for eight dollars. Authorities found two pairs of boots at the stable and learned the cow had been booted to hamper pursuit. Cain, with a prison record, had just left the penitentiary before the incidents.
