Rev H J Otto of Princeton, a Christian church pastor, secured patents on three pneumatic attachments for typewriters. The devices attach to any machine, allow writing with minimal energy, and enable a single operator to control multiple machines for simultaneous copying.
Jeffersonville Mayor E N Flynn says if Hanly signs the bill moving police commissioner appointment to city executives he would assign duties to the board of public works. The move would save $450 annually. Flynn vows to issue the order until court ruling. The current police force would stay in place.
Ten car loads totaling 170 head of cattle, averaging 1 370 pounds, were shipped from Frankfort to London for Swift & Co. The owners were John Derrick, Jacob Derrick, Amos Derrick, and Joseph Stevens. The total value was $12 981 at an average of $5.35 per cwt.
