In Idaho's Salmon river meadows a rough band of cow punchers hired by a wild west show were taught a dangerous stunt of being thrown from horses. After practice one rider asked about the danger and the manager assured them their pay would continue, prompting a wary response from the troupe.
Lavere Newhouse an 11 year old is left unconscious after Frank Brune of the Bloomer Girls hurls a brick at Moor head during a game near the canvas fence. White Sox players escort Brune to a private car and he is held on assault charges as Judge Paul orders bond. The boy is in serious condition but is expected to recover.
Greensburg area farmer Edward Newberry became violent and threatened Sheriff Jacob Biddinger. Deputies went to seize him. Newberry hid in a rose bush with a shotgun, escaped, and was last seen near a departing Indianapolis train.
The Indiana Municipal League session in Logansport heard rumors about J. T. Taggart Richmond city clerk and league secretary. A creditor demanded 237 dollars, and treasurer Mellet showed Taggart's receipt, but Taggart admitted the debt was unpaid. He left town without comment, reportedly to Maxinkuckee.

Ira B Smith of the Smith Thorndike and Brown wholesale firm, recently in involuntary bankruptcy, was arrested on a warrant by Oliver C Mason. He faced charges of obtaining money by false representation of his firm's finances, posted bail at 6000 dollars. The firm’s assets listed him about 100000 dollars in debt. Smith has long been a leading Milwaukee business figure.
In Paris Marcelin Albert, leader of the southern wine growers revolt, visited Premier Clemenceau at the interior ministry. The 15 minute talk ended with Clemenceau urging surrender to the law and a return to lawful work. Albert promised to urge fellow countrymen to end disturbances.

Parkersburg West Virginia seven year old Clyde Glidden has been arrested and jailed on incendiarism charges for allegedly burning two houses last week causing near fatalities. The state imposes death unless mercy is recommended by the jury, with life imprisonment if mercy is granted. J D Cutlip, owner of the destroyed homes, says Glidden burned them after being ordered to stay out of Cutlip's garden.
Isidor Wormser, a banker in New York, died Friday night after a critical condition following a severe gout attack two weeks earlier. He was 77 years old.
