Officials report multiple dog bites and aggressive animals after a spate of mad dog incidents. Dogs have been shot, a head sent to Indianapolis for examination, and Pasteur treatment given to several children. Parents keep children indoors as countywide fear grows.

Moreback in Lima confesses to thefts including a Marlotte store break in but denies involvement in Green jewelry store burglary. Danville foreman William Haynes drank carbolic acid after employer rebuke, dies. Columbus forms Jules G Ord Camp to honor Lt Ord with officers named. About 300 seniors in caps and gowns move in a grand procession around the campus long circle to witness the opening of the 1910 graduation week events. Curtis Shake and Omer Farr address the crowd as the peace pipe is passed among attendees. Presidents Bryan host a reception in the student building as seniors enjoy a week free from exams.
During a two hour thunderstorm in Jeffersonville the residence of Boyd True was struck by lightning. Bricks fell on a sleeping room where his two young sons slept but both escaped injury. Flooding damaged nearby crops.

Crawfordsville Byron Price and Ferdinand Pannenbaum tied for first in the sophomore declamation contest at Wabash College. Freshman winner Leland Burroughs took first in his division, with R. T. Carrithers second. Prizes were ten dollars for first and five dollars for second, split between the tied sophomores.
Rushville youths Rushville William Sweeney and Cincinnati’s Eugene White were released by Mayor Black after being arrested for stoning a C H D train. The trial showed one boy threw a rock at the train as they were put off, narrowly missing the brakeman. Their youth led to dismissal.
Mrs. Latitia Love sues Alonzo Love in circuit court for divorce after thirty years of marriage. The complaint alleges cruel treatment in the last two years forcing the wife to leave.
Professor J M Weiswander resigns from the commercial department of Central Normal College. His resignation takes effect August 1 and he plans to move his family to Kirksville Missouri by September 1 to pursue a course in osteopathy.
Wills, a Big Four brakeman from Cincinnati, was overcome by escaping gas while washing in a heated bath at Wabash Edson CC. He was found unconscious as the gas filled the room after the heater fire had been extinguished.
