Captain Frank P Swigart longtime Indiana G A R state commander died suddenly at his Logansport home after a brief illness. He served in the Forty sixth Indiana, was a presidential elector in 1888 and led Indiana campaign for Harrison. He held several public posts and authored Civil War era works.
