Labor Union Not a Trust Amendment In Sherman Act

In Washington on June 3 the House adopted an amendment to the Clayton anti trust bill exempting labor and farmer organizations from prosecution under the Sherman law or other trust litigations as conspiracies in restraint of trade. It provides that such organizations and members shall not be illegally assembled as conspiracies, though members may be held for acts deemed restraint. The House rejected a parallel amendment for farmers organizations involved in community buying and selling.
