Meeting in St Helena, the couple renewed their vows, this time under Seventh Day Adventist rites. The re wed couple now express renewed affection despite past separations.
At Johns Hopkins Hospital Dr Thomas Cullen correctly diagnosed an additional appendix problem while under anaesthesia during gallstone surgery. Dr J M T Finney led the operation, which began for gallstones and ended with appendix removal after Cullen predicted the condition.
Secret Service officers were startled when Acting Chief Moran arrived with two four foot long counterfeit notes folded under his arm. The forgeries duplicated the faces of a five dollar and a ten dollar United States note with numbers portraits and lettering woven into towel texture.
Charles Nelson told Justice Galney that ancestral urge compelled him to pluck flowers from the waterworks park. He said drink intensified the urge and linked his crime to a Danish gardener ancestry. Nelson was found guilty but the sentence was suspended.
