An old advertisement warns against neglecting a cough or cold and promotes Foley’s Honey and Tar as protection against serious bronchial or lung trouble.
Roy Kemp of Angola Indiana writes that after four weeks in bed with lagrippe he tried many remedies and expensive physician care with no relief until Foley's Honey and Tar cured him. He reports using it exclusively for his family and urges others to take no substitutes. For sale by all dealers.
Chester Michigan postmaster A L Spafford reports a severe croup attack left his child unconscious. The ad claims the remedy cures coughs colds influenza and throat lung troubles.
A Cascade Iowa druggist J H Weber notes the sale of Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets goes to repeat customers. He urges readers to try them for dullness after meals bad taste biliousness loss of appetite or constipation and promises prompt relief. Sold by E T Scott.
Bigelow reports many locals attended the Farmer's institute in Laporte on Friday and Saturday. Ice harvesters work hard to secure crops from local ponds. Teachers also attended the Laporte session. Mrs Charley Sears returned from Woodville after a week with her ill brother. Mr Tolcom of Porter county plans moving to his new farm in March. A 160 acre farm is for rent via S P Howell. Wm Osborn unloaded a car of sugar beet pulp to feed dairy cows.
