Joseph Wezoiak a Jackson township farmer was killed Monday evening when struck by a Pere Marquette train at the Ohio Street crossing in Michigan City. The 62 year old left a wife and large family, including Arerew John Stephen Frank Eoliward Gus and several daughters and sons.

Fire at 47 Wo street destroyed a residence early Monday. Peter Yeager was found dead among the ruins. his body recovered at Cutler Morgue. Mrs Yeager woke the family, and all escaped as flames gutted the house. the son attempted to douse the blaze with a pail of water. The cause remains unknown.
