Marina backers defend 1.9 million project before board

Backers of the Recreation Commission proposed marina off Hendricks Point say opponents’ arguments are answered in the commission’s plan. The board of selectmen will hear pros and cons tomorrow at 1 15 p m in the Town Courtroom after a prior session on beach rules.

The Board of Selectmen and the Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing tomorrow to decide if Birchwood Townhouses residents gain beach privileges and whether to proceed with a $1.9 million Hendrick's Point marina project. The session opens at 12:15 p.m. with the beach topic.

Pickets plan war protests for Saturday

Anti-war demonstrators involved in last Tuesday’s sit in at the Saugatuck Bridge mobilize supporters for a Saturday program.
