Dr. Jean Beasley Pediatrician Dies After Long Illness
Westport physician Dr. Jean Tallman Beasley died at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Born in 1921 in New York, she certified as a pediatrician in 1956 and served at Norwalk and Yale New Haven hospitals. Services set for tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Unitarian Church Lyons Plain Road Westport. visitation tonight 6 to 9 p.m. Survivors include her husband Dr. Albert S. Beasley a son Scott and daughter Jean. Memorial gifts requested to Staples High School Tuition Grants or Norwalk High School Scholarship Fund.

Dorothy M Preston Weston died in Norwalk Hospital born in Sussex England naturalized 1944 resident since 1945. Services held at Bouton Funeral Home. Interment Willow Brook Cemetery. William P Preston husband four daughters. William Bartel 47 of 5 Hawthorne Lane retired sales engineer died in Norwalk Hospital. Burial to be announced. Edith Thor formerly of Westport died in Norwalk Hospital at 63. Funeral services private. Survivors include two sons two daughters one brother and one sister two grandchildren.

Arts Council to Hold Annual Meeting Highlighting Artis Film
The Westport Weston Arts Council plans an annual meeting at Seabury Center Monday January 29. Artis directed by De Witt Sage and financed by the Sears Foundation will be shown a 28 minute montage of dance and play scenes. President Charles M. Daugherty will preside and the meeting will include awards, a 1973 program proposal, and director elections.
